IDEA Initiative

The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Allyship (IDEA) Initiative was established to address systemic racism and the resulting health disparities. Through this Initiative, the AC Forum will work to increase awareness and promote diversity in our leadership, membership, and programming.

Our initiatives include a webinar series, educational tools and resources, as well as scholarships to our conference and Boot Camp programs.

Women’s Health Considerations in Thrombosis Webinar

Don’t miss our upcoming webinar on May 29, 2024 @ 12:00 PM ET!

In collaboration with The Foundation for Women and Girls with Blood Disorders (FWGBD), this webinar will feature a case-based conversation centered on various women’s health concerns and the use of anticoagulants. We will delve into three specific cases, with each case theme outlined below. Following each case, our panel will also discuss questions submitted by participants during registration. Please explore these accompanying resources for each topic and submit your questions during registration.


Case 1: Pregnancy and risk of VTE
This case will focus on the paper, Multidisciplinary care of the pregnant patient with or at risk for venous thromboembolism: a recommended toolkit from the Foundation for Women and Girls with Blood Disorders Thrombosis Subcommittee.
